Made of Truth: Never Actually Lost Short Film Screening + Q&A

Tues 1st October 5:00pm - 6:00pm

Light Cinema (Screen 9)

In this session, we dig deep with director Rowan Ings about her Glasgow-shot experimental archive film Never Actually Lost (funded by the Made of Truth BFI Doc Soc Shorts Fund).

Drawn to exploring memory, trauma and female experience, Never Actually Lost, considers these themes through a portrait of Rowan’s own Grandmother's dementia and death. How do we show the loss and recollection of memory? We explore Rowan’s creative process, how she approached a bounty of archival footage and how the truth... is in the storytelling.
