"The Listening Pitch"

Aesthetica & Audible

Deadline: 5:00pm on 9th April 2021

Aesthetica Short Film Festival and Audible have teamed up to launch The Listening Pitch 2021. Inviting filmmakers to submit proposals for a short documentary on the subject of Listening.  They are looking for original stories that show how listening lets us understand different points of view and discover new ideas. Audio should be central to the storytelling and details of how sound and image will interact should be included in all proposals.


Grey Moth Originals

Deadline: 12:00pm on 15th March 2021

£5,000 funding is available. You can apply for it in part, or all of it. 

You can apply to use the funding for development costs, production costs and /or completion costs of your film

They will consider any type of film; documentary, drama, fashion, animation, artist film, series pilot... whatever it is you want to make. 


In addition, they’ll consider applicants that can benefit from our mentorship, labour, resources and equipment as contributions in kind.

Together TV

Diverse Fund

Deadline: 30th March 2021

Together TV’s new Diverse Film Fund is now open. The 2021 theme is Black British Lives Today, and five filmmakers will be chosen to receive £10,000 in development funding and mentorship from leading industry experts, as well as having their work shown on TV during Black History Month 2021. Filmmakers must be based in the UK, and the short documentaries must focus on contemporary Black British lives.
